Tokenomics

YOO & veYOO

Yooshi employs two tokens for its utility and governance functions:

  • $YOO: An ERC-20 utility and reward token for the protocol.

  • $veYOO: An ERC-20 governance token for the protocol.

$YOO is used to reward liquidity providers through emissions, while $veYOO is designated for governance. Any $YOO holder can vote-escrow their tokens to receive an equivalent amount of $veYOO at any time. There is no lock-up period, and each $veYOO token carries equal voting power.

Conversion from $YOO to $veYOO is always available but irreversible. However, $veYOO can be liquidated at any time through the $YOO/$veYOO pair on Yooshi.
